Privacy Policy

PartyPilot ("we", "our", or "us") operates the PartyPilot mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use the App:

• Precise location (GPS). The App requests access to your device's location to show your position on the map, calculate routes, and connect you with a nearby driver. Location is collected only while the App is in use (foreground only).
• Bluetooth device names. The Vibes feature scans for nearby Bluetooth devices to detect compatible Govee smart lights. Device names are read locally on your phone and are never transmitted to our servers.
• Trip data. When you book a ride we record your pickup address, destination, and the fare for that trip. This data is linked to your booking session.
• Account information (optional). If you create an account, we store the email address and display name you provide.
• Usage and crash data. We may collect anonymous diagnostic information (e.g. app version, device model, crash logs) to improve stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To match you with an available driver and complete your ride.
• To display your real-time position and estimated arrival time on the map.
• To calculate fares and process payments.
• To respond to support requests or account deletion requests.
• To improve the reliability and performance of the App.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Google Maps Platform. Used to render maps, calculate routes, and geocode addresses. Google's use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• Stripe. Used to process ride payments. Stripe's use of data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Clerk. Used for optional user authentication. Clerk's use of data is governed by the Clerk Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

Trip records and account data are retained for up to 2 years to support billing inquiries and safety investigations. Anonymous crash and usage data is retained for up to 90 days. Bluetooth device names are never stored.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Location. You can deny or revoke location permission in your device Settings at any time. Without location access the ride-booking feature will not work.
• Bluetooth. You can deny Bluetooth permission in your device Settings. The Vibes feature will not function, but the rest of the App will.
• Account deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data from the Settings screen inside the App. We will process the request within 30 days.
• Access and correction. Contact us at the address below to request a copy of your data or to correct inaccurate information.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
